On Sunday, December 18th the residents of Village Manor were entertained with Christmas Bingo and songs from the very cute brownie troop.

The Milarch Family!

On Saturday, December 17th, the residents had a visit from the Milarch Family... and when I say family I mean the whole group. How wonderful it was that this family came to play bingo and delight the residents with the Christmas story and carols. We are very thankful for their time.

Christmas Craft with Ore Creek!




On Saturday, December 17th, members of Ore Creek Church came for their monthly visit with the residents of Village Manor. This month they made beautiful angel ornaments made from coffee filters... how crafty!

Holiday Craft!



On Friday, November 25th, 2011 the residents of Village Manor will have the opportunity to help decorate our dining room. Crafts will be made in apartment #127 at 1:00PM.

Come join in the fun and help us kick off the holiday season!

Saturday, November 19th, 2011 Village Manor hosted "Original Watercolors by Thel" in the lobby. Thelma Mitchell, a resident of Village Manor, presented her amazing artwork for everyone to enjoy.


Then event will go from 10am-6pm today! Stop in and see!

Ask Annie is back at Village Manor to inform and entertain the residents.

Her big tip this month is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Her product of choice is bag balm. Interesting fact, bag balm was originally used on the farm for cows, horses and other pets.

Pumpkin Carving Fun!

On Monday, October 24th, the residents of Village Manor were joined by the Jr. Optimists of Hartland High School for some wonderful pumpkin carving, cider and donuts to celebrate the holiday. After carving the pumpkins were displayed around the dinning room.

Happy 100th Birthday Bill F!

Village Manor had a wonderful celebration in honor of one great resident, Bill F. A large crowd gathered for the celebration held in our lobby. The residents were entertained by the musical styling of Daniel Byson and entertainer Jimi Dill.

Blood Drive!






Friday, December 9th, 2011 Village Manor will be hosting there "Be a Good Cookie" Blood Drive. The event will take place from 12:30 PM- 6:15 Pm.

Also, if anyone would like to donate to Toys for Tots, please bring a new, unwrapped gift to the drive to share with a child in our area.

Gobble Gobble!!


On Saturday, November 5th, the residents had another amazing craft to make with the Ore Creek Community Church group. These little turkeys were made from pine cones, acorns, foam feathers and pipe cleaners. Another great creation from the wonderful church group.

Can't wait to see what else they have in store for the residents...

Coming Events!!

The Week of October 24th-31st is going to be filled with tons of fun!

Monday, at 2:45pm, we have the Jr. Optimists of Hartland High School coming to carve pumpkins with the residents.

Tuesday, at 3:15pm, Dancin' DJs are back for another entertaining performance.

Wednesday, at 1:00pm, the event "Music Memories" will be celebrating October Birthdays.

Saturday, Scrap booking fun in the activities room from 9am-5pm.

Monday, Halloween celebrations all day with Super Bingo Party at 1:30pm.

All the Holiday Crafts!




The residents of Village Manor have been very busy, busy bees lately. Fall is a great time for holiday crafts.

Toilet paper pumpkins were provided by Ore Creek Community Church as a project one Saturday morning. There are many of these little guys all around the facility.

Ghost flags were made last Saturday morning during the first "Craft Time with Liz."

We have also welcomed a new sewing group, "The Sew and Sews," who will be making some great fabric crafts over the next couple of weekends.

Spicer's Orchard Trip




On October 10th and 17th a group of residents from Village Manor took a trip to the apple orchard, Spicer's Orchard to be exact.

The residents enjoyed the many things Spicer's had to offer, from apple picking, cider and donuts, pumpkins and hayrides.

Praise in the Morning!

On Sunday, September 25th, the residents of Village Manor had a morning filled with music. The praise group Echos of Happiness came to delight the residents with their versions of popular praise and worship songs. The group is comprised or couples and friends from all over the state.

Senior Spelling Bee!

On Wednesday, September 21st, Village Manor hosted the 3rd Annual Livingston County Senior Spelling Bee. Teams were comprised of members from Abbey Park at Mill River, Howell Senior Center and residents of Village Manor. Congratulations to the winner, Mrs. Lois Watson, of Abbey Park at Mill River and all that participated. The competition was great and all that attended had a wonderful time.

Ask Annie Nurse and Comedian!



Saturday, September 17th, some of the residents of Village Manor joined Annie the Nurse and Comedian in the lobby for questions and answers and a lot of laughs. Annie disscussed different topics, such as how the weather changing can affect your health.

Veterans Ceremony

On Wednesday, September 7th, the residents of Village Manor were invited to attend a ceremony honoring veterans. The ceremony was presented by Phill from AMVET Post 2006, with the assistance of his dog Cody.


Veterans were presented with a medal of appreciation for their service.

Luau at Village Manor!

On Saturday September 3rd, in celebration of the holiday weekend, the residents enjoyed the musical styling's of Will and Minday.

The husband and wife duo sang some traditional Hawaiian music and pop classics. Mindy also entertained the residents with traditional hula dancing.

Both residents and staff participated in the fun!
